I've been trying to get a good swing photo. It's a challenge! Yesterday I took what I think might be my favorite so far.

But here is a secret: I actually used photo shop to merge two disappointing images.

The Sniffle

Isabel's chiffle.
Some girls with a sniffle
Would be weepy and tiffle;
They would look awful,
Like a rained-on waffle,
But Isabel's chiffle
In spite of her sniffle.
Her nose is more red
With a cold in her head,
But then, to be sure,
Her eyes are bluer.
Some girls with a snuffle,
Their tempers are uffle.
But when Isabel's snivelly
She's snivelly civilly,
And when she's snuffly
She's perfectly luffly.

A Weekend to Remember

Last weekend I had a visit from my sister, who happens to be the lovely lady at Simplicity! It was wonderful and busy, full of laughter and good times... it was over much too soon. One morning we went to the city square for some photography which was my first real (ish) photo shoot. I had all the advantages of working with a beautiful model but none of the stress! We both took a million photos and goofed off like moms without their kids. Here are some of my favorites:

And when we came home, the house was quiet because my husband had put the kids down for naps and he cooked a delicious meal for us, with chocolate cake at the end. Sweet! Our husbands (being super heroes) took care of everything and I'm so thankful and happy that I got to spend quality time with my big sis...

Saturday Evening

"How quickly can you be ready for an art event on the square?" my husband asked as he came in from working in the yard. Wait a minute... is he suggesting we do something spontaneous? The most spontaneous thing I've done all week is run my two year old to the little froggie potty...

I can be ready in two minutes.

We left the kids in capable hands and before I knew it we were strolling from one art gallery to another, listening to live music, and talking with an accomplished sculptor as we walked through his studio. It was the most wonderful, spontaneous thing I have done in a long time... so spontaneous that I forgot my camera! I didn't even have my phone with me. And that's just fine because I was holding hands with my best friend.

Spontaneity: I highly recommend it.
