Macro Monday

Hey y'all, happy Monday!
So, it's the beginning of Week 2 in the photography e-class I'm taking at SweetViolet. The topic is Shutter and the homework today is "shutter practice indoors" so while my children were napping I poured some iced coffee, popped in my ear buds and started setting up a still life that would make for good shutter practice.

Shutter Practice Indoors (Part 2)
After I snapped a few photos I realized the song that was playing:
Just gonna stand there and watch me burn...

I couldn't help but ask myself- is this a coincidence, or did those lyrics give me the idea in the first place? I'll never know, but I frequently catch myself singing or humming songs that are strangely perfect (or perfectly strange) for the situation... is that really weird? Does anybody know what I'm talking about?

Linking up with something new today, head over to Lisa's Chaos to see more!

  1. A little creepy, don't you think. Yes, I have things happen that seem like coincidence ... but is it. Like you said, we may never know ... and I am not sure I want to know, if you get my drift. Whatever, your pictures turned out great. When you say shutter practice, what does that entail. Sounds interesting. Thanks for coming to see my blog. Hope to see you again.

    1. I know, right? The shutter practice is simply experimenting on a moving subject using varying shutter speeds(still keeping the image properly exposed)and get comfortable with the shutter's capabilities.

  2. Fire makes for a great subject. Candles are a great source to practice with and have the added benefit that you won't burn your fingers. DAMHIK :-)
